Stuffies in stripes
Hello!
More from the sewing table. More stuffies in search of new homes. This one has a love heart for a tail and a chicken on its chest.

Several new things are also taking a promising shape in the painting studio and I'll have them ready to show here soon. Plenty of dogs, hares and cats in many guises.

Hares and dog legs
Doris thought it was only a matter of time before someone got hurt with all this tomfoolery, a recent pencil drawing especially for a husk of hares.
Now it is back, for me, to looking on the net at beautiful things to covet and French company ibride fits the bill.
ibride: Hoppoe Tray (High pressure laminate over pressed wood and paper board)
ibride: Pia Tray (High pressure laminate over pressed wood and paper board)
ibride: Sultan Red Dog Stool (Laminate with wood core)
(Available online everywhere in places like this.)

Hare dreams of red flowers and blue birds
![]()
Hare dreams of red flowers and blue birds, an icon recently finished and ready to be exhibited in a two person exhibition with MG in June (more on that soon).
In the meantime, you'll find this hare making an appearnace here.
A skulk of foxes and a husk of hares.
From the Cave of the Oracle

Witty colourful snail mail from my clever friend Hilly.
Photographic postcards from Hilly sent from Egypt and upon return. I have over twenty of them and hope to one day put them in a book. On the reverse side feature the adventures of Indi and Silver.... "soon the Red Sea was lapping at their feet. Silver, being a ship of the desert, trimmed his tail, and camel padded across. The Mission had begun."
Mid May she heads to China and I am looking forward to reading more of her adventures. Now if only she'd get a wriggle on and start up a blog.

All stitched up

Experimenting with new head shapes and styles.
Stuffies and felt pins are proving the perfect thing to do whilst my oil paintings dry.
For ladybird fanciers
A new Thelma's stuffie.
New Thelma's stuffies are in the process of being made. Spending my days in the studio sewing stuffie limbs.

A skulk of foxes and friends
Somewhere in Andalusia, three red foxes were holding court. Collage, Gracia Haby.
Soon I'll be appearing sporadically on a new blog with Gracia and Louise. The three of us will be responding to various poetic collective nouns.
Find out more here:
A skulk of foxes and a husk of hares.
Now I must get busy drawing arctic foxes and hares.

Inside my studio

My workspace.
Here in all its paint-splattered glory is my workspace as requested. New works and old works are all jumbled together.

Here is a work in progress with more to follow.

A few more inspiring images

Again, from Mark Hearld's flat. The World of Interiors, November, 2007.
"Hearld's more-is-more approach to interior design reflects a long-standing interest in house full of collections of things."

I love it all.
"Hearld is adamant he is 'extraordinarily untidy', and rarely cleans, despite the moteless surfaces. 'Occasionally, when things are really getting out of hand, my dad comes to my assistance, but generally I think: Why clean when you could be doing something creative? I am very suspicious of anyone washing their car on a Sunday afternoon'."
The World of Interiors.
