New works X2
(Two new icons take shape.)
It's been awhile since I aired any new paintings in this space, so to make up for such an absence, here are two new icons of man's best friend. They are part of a new series of small icons focusing upon the things that surround us, the things we love.
I should point out, I do not have a dog.
I should also point out, Stella, my cat companion, is not currently speaking to me.

Beaded lovelies
(Owl and Petal images courtesy of Betsy Youngquist's site.)
Betsy Youngquist's beaded creations and dolls, often constructed over taxidermy moulds, hold me entranced. Discovered the other day whilst leafing through a book of dolls, I have fallen for her beautiful Owl and Petal.
