Encountered in Flinders Lane

Recent stuffies of mine appear in the window of Craft Victoria for hammer & daisy.

All the things to take to our very own archipelago.

29th September – 19th October, 2008

Craft Victoria, 31 Flinders Lane, Melbourne.

A window for recent things made by Gracia & Louise and Thelma. Filled with the things we have made by hand, from images printed on paper to things sewn with needle and thread. We have the paper for correspondence and we have the stuffed creatures to populate the many small islands.

(Thank-you for all your kind words in regard to Stella. She is making a good recovery. Her tongue still lops out the side but her grey fur is growing back around her jawline. It will be a slow journey back to full health.)

Mum, your stuffed creatures look so superb and at ease in that window. I wonder what mischief they are up to now that the city is quiet? What rebellion will they start? Will the arranged window look as it did today or can we expect to find cake crumbs and the like when we pass tomorrow?
hugs, g xx

Elaine I just love your softies and have watched them take on more wonderfully looking expressions, shapes and sizes over time.
I wish i could see this window in person and take one of your wild creations home.
Congratulations... it looks fantastic!
